Barely entered last week, but since the goal was one a week I made it. Two this week (week 4), I have more drawn just need to put them into photoshop. Been a crazy work week.

Well I am on week three and I am still posting. I need to focus on more color. I have been experimenting with photoshop to paint and do value studies. Dave Raposa's videos have been really helpful for that.

As for your pieces, it is really cool. If it was my piece I would figure out what the focal point is and put more detail there. The face, the chest and the top of the staff seem to be the most likely candidates. I would do first read, face, second read staff and third read chest cavity. As well as find a way to put some visual interest in the left side of the painting to balance all the stuff going on in the right side. I like the blurring/smoky effect but I think it needs to be balanced by a few areas that are pretty detailed. This allows the eye to know where to rest. Just my two cents. :)
